Reading fault codes from your BMW is possible with specialized OBD2 or OBD1 OBD equipment. Here you can opt for a handheld diagnostic tools, or for an interface that you can connect to your computer, laptop, telephone or tablet. The interfaces usually come with a USB connection to connect to your laptop or computer. However, there are also Bluetooth and WiFi interfaces that you can connect to your phone, in combination with an app you can easily and cheaply read your BMW.
