Mercedes-Benz / Smart diagnostic Interface StarCOM
StarCOM is a diagnostic interface specially developed for Mercedes Benz and Smart vehicles. The interface supports all cars from 1996 onwards that use the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic port, or the 14 and 38-pin diagnostic ports. The StarCOM is an intelligent multiplexer USB interface (ISO9141 K-Lines, high-speed CAN-BUS, KWFB, KWP2000, KWPCAN, UDS).

StarCOM OBD2 and OBD1 Diagnostic Interface
Despite its extensive OBD1 and OBD2 reading capabilities, the StarCOM is very user-friendly. The manufacturer regularly provides software updates and new features that can be downloaded for free. It's also possible to request missing functionality from the manufacturer. Through a unique logging system, you can send vehicle data to the manufacturer for the development of new functions. If you're accustomed to working with software like VCDS and STAR, you can start using the Mercedes StarCOM interface seamlessly.
Hardware Interface
The StarCOM interface includes 10 multiplexed K-Lines and L-Line (ISO9141). It also features high-speed CAN with analog measuring circuits. The supported protocols are:
